FollowLap Education Doctorate Recruits School and System Leaders Who Will Not Abandon Their Classrooms

School systems cannot improve if their best leaders disappear for three years. FollowLap University has restated the design of its education doctorate: research of doctoral standard, completed while the candidate continues to lead.

The programme combines research methods, education policy, curriculum design, assessment and organisational change. The thesis must address a problem the candidate is authorised to influence. Noah Adler, a curriculum specialist in Tel Aviv, is investigating how teacher feedback cycles can be shortened without lowering marking quality.

Supervision is intensive: monthly research clinics, recorded methods workshops, and a named supervisor plus a second reader. Oral examinations are held online with independent examiners. The standard is doctoral, not honorary.
